Using Printers and Copiers
For Faculty
If you want to make copies at a multi-function device, simply swipe your QuakerCard. Your department will be billed for the copies in the same way and at the same rate as they are currently. Over the fall semester IT&S will be assisting you in remapping your printer to the new print server. Until that happens, you will continue to print as usual. After the change, you will continue to print as normal, and your department will continue to be billed for printing in the same way and at the same rate as they are currently.
For Staff
If you want to make copies at a multi-function device, simply swipe your QuakerCard. Your department will be billed for the copies in the same way and at the same rate as they are currently. You will continue to print as usual.
For Work-study Students
Students working in departments are treated as staff while they are working. IT&S recieves a periodic update from Payroll listing all students employed as student workers at the college.
- FOR COPYING & PRINTING: Work-study students will have their work department added to their personal Quaker Card. Department Supervisors should contact IT&S and provide the name of the student and budget code. Students will use the departmental code when printing or copying for a department, and their own personal account for their academic work. Students found printing/copying personal or class related materials to departmental accounts will be referred to Judicial Affairs.
For Students
Students (NOT including Early College 9th and 10th graders) will continue to get a $12 allocation for fall semester, a $12 allocation for spring semester, a $4 allocation for first summer session, and a $4 allocation for second summer session.
- FOR COPYING: If you want to make copies at a multi-function device, simply swipe your QuakerCard. The cost of the copy will be debited from your allocation. If you have exceeded your allocation for the semester, money will be debited from either your Campus Purse or Community Purse (in that order). If you need to add money to your QuakerCard, you will be able to do so via a web site launching in August or by visiting Student Financial Services during normal business hours.
- FOR PRINTING: If you want to print, you will have four printers defined in your profile: Bauman labs black & white printers (BaumLabB&W), Bauman labs color printer (BaumLabColor), the Bauman Plotter (Baum102Plot), and all other campus public printers (RicohB&W). You will also have the option of installing these printers onto your personal computer via a web installer (this service should be available by October 1) so you can print from your residence hall. Once you have printed your job, you can go to any appropriate printer to release your job. At the printer you will swipe your QuakerCard and select the job you want to print. Any print job not released within 48 hours will be deleted (you will not be charged for deleted jobs). The cost of the print job will be debited from your allocation. If you have exceeded your allocation for the semester, money will be debited from either your QuakerCard. If you need to add money to your QuakerCard, you will be able to do so via a web site launching inearly September or by visiting Student Financial Services during normal business hours.
