Honors Study Abroad

NCHC Honors Semester

Guilford College is a participating member of the National Collegiate Honors Council. Membership in the NCHC means that students in the Guilford College Honors Program can participate in the NCHC Honors Semesters. These semester programs are regularly offered in different sites around the world and enable Honors students from across the country to meet and learn in unique settings. The Honors Semesters offer a full load of transferable college credit and combine field studies, research, internships and other experiential programs that take full advantage of the local setting. Guilford College students who participate in this program can earn both general college credit, Honors Program credit, and meet specific college requirements. In recent years, the Honors Semesters have been located in New York City, the Grand Canyon, Greece, and Spain. Students interested in learning more about this program opportunity can contact Bob Williams or visit the following site: www.radford.edu/~nchc/honors.htm

Guilford College Study Abroad Programs

Many of our Honors students take advantage of the college study abroad programs. In most cases students can complete their major requirements, fulfill their Honors Program requirements and spend a semester (or even two) studying abroad. The Honors Scholarship can be applied toward any of the college's sponsored programs. Unfortunately, it cannot be used to pay for study abroad program sponsored by other colleges. For more information on the Guilford Study Abroad Program, see the Study Abroad Homepage.

Other (Honors) Study Abroad Opportunities:
