Family Services is the designated agency for Sexual Assault response. They provide hospital accompaniment, crisis counseling, legal advocacy, shelter, and court accompaniment.

 

 

Urgent Medical and Family Care

 

Can provide basic medical exams, STD and pregnancy testing.  Will take Guilford student health insurance with a $25 co-pay.

 

Location:  Take W. Friendly toward downtown.  Turn right on Muirs Chapel Rd. to W. Market.  Turn left on W. Market to Pomona .  Turn right on Pomona .  The Clinic as located at 102 Pomona .

 

Moses Cone Hospital : 832-7000

Offers medical exams, STD and pregnancy testing and optional rape kits.   If a rape kit exam is chosen, it can stopped at any point during the exam. All rape kits are done by Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.  The Greensboro Police Department will automatically be called but speaking with them is optional. Informtion about Family Services of the Piedmont Survivor Advocates will be supplied.

 

Location:  Take New Garden Rd. to Bryan Blvd. E.   Follow Bryan Blvd. to Wendover E.  Take Wendover E. approximately two miles to N. Elm St .  Turn left on N. Elm and follow emergency room signs.

 

Wesley Long Hospital : 832-1000

Services at Wesley Long are the same as Moses Cone.

 

Location:  Take W. Friendly  toward downtown.  Take a left on N. Elam .

 

Planned Parenthood:  336-373-0678

 

Offers STD and pregnancy testing, birth control.

 

Location:   1704 Battleground  Ave.   Take New Garden to Bryan Blvd.   Take Bryan Blvd. to Cornwallis.  Take a left on Cornwallis to Battleground.  Right on Battlegroud.

Offers STD and pregnancy testing.

 

Location:  110 E. Wendover.  Take New Garden to Bryan Blvd.   Exit onto Wendover E.
