Services for Alumni
The Career and Community Learning (CACL) Center continues to provide services to Guilfordians even after they have graduated from the college. Essentially, alumni may access all services available to current students (see "Services for Students").
Career Fairs - Alumni may attend the annual November Career Fair, usually held in a Greensboro area hotel, for information gathering and networking. During the Information Session, graduates are encouraged to dress in interview attire and come with multiple copies of their resumes to distribute to interested employers. In this way, alumni may be invited by employers to interview during the afternoon Interview Session. (The second session of the Career Fair is reserved for interviews of seniors and alumni only.) See the NC Career Consortium website for more information. Also, alumni interested in careers in the nonprofit sector are invited to attend our annual Information Fair for Careers in Nonprofit, usually held on the Guilford College campus in mid-March. No advance registration is required. Alumni may conduct research on agencies on our website or in the Career Library before the fair. See our Calendar of Events for this year's date of the Information Fair for Careers in Nonprofit. Agencies and employers participating in these fairs are available at our Career Fairs page.
Campus Interviews - On-campus recruting sessions are open to alumni on a space available basis, provided the employer is willing to interview graduates as well as current seniors. Contact Career & Community Learning for more information regarding our recruiting calendar 336-316-2197.
Late Hours - For those alumni who find it inconvenient to use CACL resources or meet with career advisors between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm weekdays. Please call the CACL at 336-316-2187 to schedule an appointment. See our Calendar of Events to learn which evenings we are open late during the Fall and Spring semesters.
NACElink - NACElink is a national, web-based system for recruiting college students for all types of employment, e.g., full-time, part-time, internship, co-op, work-study, alumni, etc. Select the link to learn more.
