Frequent Guilford visitor Melanie Weidner will be on campus March 21-24, 2007. All are welcome to participate in the following events:
Wednesday, March 21
3-4:30 p.m. Showing of The Passion of the Earth: A New Story of Creation, Community Center
The film documents the creation of Weidner's installation piece which is a celebration in art and poetry at the Benedictine Women’s Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho. The Benedictine Sisters and Weidner offer spiritual help and hope for engaging the ecological challenges facing us – through poetry, art, theology and science – making new connections between Christian faith and our relationship with the earth.

Spiritual practices of knowing oneself bear the fruit of transformation and peacemaking. Weidner explores themes of spiritual self-knowledge and transformed living and shares from her own experience of prayer and growth in an inspiring presentation of art, poetry, and reflection. King 126
Thursday, March 22
