Guilford Plans Several Test Prep Courses

Guilford is now enrolling for its spring and summer test preparation courses for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) and the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).

  • SAT Confidence! is a 12-hour course using personal instruction coaching, and advising with a web-based program. Students learn test-taking strategies and gain practical experience writing essays and solving mathematical and verbal problems through in-class practice tests and Web exercises. Saturdays, May 23 and 30, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and Sundays, May 24 and 31, from 2-5 p.m. Cost: $289 (includes instruction, workbook, practice tests and Web site access). Class size is limited to 24.
  • The 16-hour GRE course includes strategies, practice sessions and individual writing analysis. Saturdays, July 11-Aug. 1, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost for each: $349 (includes two workbooks). Class size is limited to 24.
  • The 16-hour GMAT course includes test strategies and practice sessions for all sections of the test. Saturdays, July 11-Aug. 1, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost for each: $349 (includes two workbooks). Class size is limited to 24.
  • The LSAT preparation course uses questions from all sections of past tests (logical reasoning, games and reading comprehension) and offers personal writing analysis over 24 contact hours. Saturdays, May 2-June 13, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost: $499 (includes two workbooks). Class is limited to 24.
