Washington Post Education Columnist Among Presenters at Presidential Forum on College Admission March 17

Jay MatthewsJay Mathews, education columnist for The Washington Post, will be among the presenters at a Presidential Forum on College Admission March 17 at 1 p.m. in Dana Auditorium.

Mathews writes a regular column for the Post, "Class Struggle," and is the author of the 2003 book Harvard Schmarvard: Getting Beyond the Ivy League to the College that is Best for You. He has also been a contributor to Newsweek.

Other presenters will include Karen Felton, director of college guidance for Friends School of Baltimore and Mildred Johnson, chair and senior associate director of undergraduate admissions for Virginia Tech. Guilford President Kent Chabotar and Vice President for Enrollment and Campus Life Randy Doss will also participate.

The event is designed for prospective students and their families but will also be open to the general public.

In addition to a panel discussion, there will be breakout sessions.
