Paul Krugman to Speak on “Confronting Global Economic Challenges” Nov. 3

Paul KrugmanNobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman will speak on “Confronting Global Economic Challenges” in a Bryan Series program Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at War Memorial Auditorium.

Krugman won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences “for his analysis of trade patterns and location of economic activity” in 2008.  He is well-known in academia for his work in international economics, including trade theory, economic geography and international finance.

A professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University, Krugman writes a popular twice-weekly op-ed column for The New York Times.  He is the author or editor of 20 books and more than 200 papers in professional journals and edited volumes.  His most recent books include The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008, The Conscience of a Liberal and The Great Unraveling.
