Hege Library to Host Annual Book Sale Oct. 5-6
The Friends of the Library of Guilford College will hold the annual book sale on Friday, Oct. 5 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Carnegie Room foyer of the Hege Library. Funds raised by the book sale are used to support activities of the Friends of the Library. Cash and checks will be accepted.
On Friday, hardback books will be $4 and paperbacks $2. On Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., hardbacks will be reduced to $3 and paperbacks $1. From 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, all books will be 50 cents each.
This year’s sale will feature over 3,500 titles, including an extensive collection of African and African-American literature and history, and a large number of books written in Spanish, including novels, histories, art and architecture, literary criticism and travel. There will also be some audiovisual material for sale, including CDs, VHS and cassettes.
