Guilford County District Attorney’s Office Says Charges Against Guilford Students are Being Dismissed

 

The Guilford County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday, March 14, that criminal charges against the Guilford College students involved in a Jan. 20 incident in Bryan Hall are being dismissed. Six members of the football team had been facing charges ranging from ethnic intimidation to assault and battery.

On Thursday, March 1, Guilford announced it had concluded the student judicial process involving five students who were charged with violations of the student code of conduct in the incident. Results of the judicial process are private and protected by college policy as well as federal law pursuant to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
