Art Faculty and Other Artists Plan Sale and Studio Tours May 30-31

Art Department faculty members Charlie Tefft, Adele Wayman and Roy Nydorf and other artists from the surrounding area will participate in the fourth annual Artist’s Touch Sale and Studio Tours May 30-31.

Nine artists will open their studios to the public Satruday, May 30, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Artists and locations are:

  • Charlie Tefft (pottery), 6303 Thornblade Ct., Greensboro
  • Adele and Jeff Wayman (paintings and furniture), 102 Conference Center Dr., Brown Summit
  • Roy Nydorf (paintings, drawings and prints), 1815 Oak Ridge Rd. (Hwy. 150), Oak Ridge
  • L.T. Hoisington (pottery) and Audrey Sage (prints and bookbinding), 208 Aberdeen Ter., Greensboro
  • Kelly O'Briant (porcelain) and Matthew Thomason (drawings and prints), 5809 Dona Rd., Julian

Adele Wayman said of the annual event, “Two continuing similarities in the work of all the participants are still evident – a love of craft seen in a love for materials and the care with which they are made, and a deep connection with nature.”
