Andromeda Galaxy to be Subject of Oct. 6 Talk at Guilford's Cline Observatory
The Cline Observatory at Guilford College will offer a free multimedia presentation on the Andromeda Galaxy by Thom Espinola, the Glaxo Wellcome professor of physics, on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The observatory is located in the Frank Family Science Center on campus.
The Andromeda Galaxy is 2.5 million light years from Earth, but can be seen with the naked eye. If weather permits, the talk will be followed by a public viewing using both small telescopes and the observatory’s main telescope.

PARKING INFORMATION: Enter campus from the Arcadia Drive entrance off New Garden Road. The building directly ahead (with the observatory dome) is the Frank Family Science Center. Park in either adjacent lot and walk to the auditorium entrance to the building which faces campus, away from New Garden Road.
