Suzanne Galer to Present Faculty Recital Oct. 11

Suzanne GalerThe Department of Music’s Dana Series will continue with a faculty recital by Suzanne Galer on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Dana Auditorium. The recital is free and open to the public.

Galer, a soprano, is a visiting associate professor of music. She earned her doctorate and master’s degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Galer has performed with numerous companies including Indianapolis Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Long Island Lyric Opera, Opera Company of the Hamptons, The New Rochelle Opera and the West Park Chamber Society. Prior to Guilford, she taught at Sam Houston State University in Texas, Indiana Wesleyan University and Centenary College in Louisiana.

The Dana Series continues with a guest artist recital by soprano Mei Zhong of Ball State University Nov. 1, and the Winter Choral Concert Dec. 2. For more information, visit www.guilford.edu or call the Department of Music at 336-316-2876.
