Feb. 13 Presentation to Focus on Drug Use and Sports
The National Center for Drug-Free Sport’s Kathy Schniedwind will give a presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. in Dana Auditorium. The talk, titled “Don’t Wait ‘til Urine Trouble,” deals with the detrimental effects of using performance-enhancing drugs, supplements, alcohol and tobacco. It is free and open to the public.
Schniedwind is a Certified Athletic Trainer with more than 30 years of Division I collegiate experience at Illinois State University, including 16 years as the head athletic trainer. She has worked with the United States Olympic Committee (and was an athletic trainer at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea) and the NCAA Competitive Safeguards Committee, where she served on the Drug Education and Testing subcommittee.
