Choir to Perform Mozart’s Requiem Dec. 7

The Department of Music will present Mozart’s Requiem, featuring the Guilford College Choir, on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Dana Auditorium. Admission to the concert is free.

Requiem is one of the most famous masses composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, written just before his death in December, 1791.

Several members of the college faculty and staff will join the choir, including soloists James Bumgardner and Hope Thacker. The Guilford College Guitar Ensemble will provide a prelude of Baroque pieces. In addition, a drawing will be held announcing the winner of a trip to Ireland with the choir in May.
