ChangeAIDS Conference to be Held March 22
On Saturday, March 22, the Community AIDS Awareness Project will hold a grassroots conference at Guilford College that aims to shatter the silence surrounding HIV/AIDS. Through teach-ins and workshops, ChangeAIDS will explore the intersections of power, privilege and stigma and provide tactics and strategies for community action and sociopolitical advocacy.
Speakers include: Lisa Tiger, AIDS educator and member of the Muscogee Nation; Matt Kavanaugh, director of Global Justice; Erin Burns, national student coordinator of Student Global AIDS Campaign; Justin Smith, director of Project STYLE; Martha Lang, medical sociologist, and many more.
