Second Annual Guilford Undergraduate Symposium to be Feb. 27.

Once again this year, Guilford students and recent graduates will have the opportunity to present original scholarly research and creative projects as part of the Guilford Undergraduate Symposium (GUS). This year’s symposium is set for Friday, Feb. 27, from 1-5:30 p.m., with presentations taking place throughout campus.

More than 80 students, representing all academic divisions, will give performances, exhibit creative works, present original research and lead panel discussions and group presentations on a variety of subjects. Scheduled presentations will cover such topics as stormwater treatment, "tracking" in education, the American occupation of Great Britain during World War II and the effect of personality on video game play style. In addition, a group of theatre studies students will discuss the collaborative creative process, and several visual artists will share pieces.
