Four Faculty Promoted, Eight Earn Tenure
At its May meeting, Guilford College’s Board of Trustees approved the promotion of four faculty members and granted tenure to eight faculty.
The board promoted Jim Hood ’79 to full professor of English; Melanie Lee-Brown to associate professor of biology; Vance Ricks ’92 to associate professor of philosophy; and Karen Tinsley to associate professor of psychology.
In addition, the following faculty members received tenure: Kyle Dell (political science); David Hammond (theatre studies); Jonathan Hatch ’90 (mathematics); Karen Hayes ’78 (psychology); Wendy Looker (music); Angela Moore (geology); David Newton (art); and Anna Oerther (education studies).
