Class of 2010

I "found" Guilford during a week long tour of colleges. It was the last school on the tour so needless to say I was completely tired of colleges and the admissions pitches. When I walked onto the Guilford Campus, I was instantly drawn because the admissions officers we met with were so warm and inviting, the student that lead the tour was great and the students that we met on the campus were willing to help and answer all of my questions, which is so different from all of the other schools that I had visited during my tour.

During my time at Guilford, I have been involved in many activities.  I am a member of the judicial board, captain on the cheer leading squad, student train in the athletic training room, a member of the Law Society, the secretary of B.U.S. (Blacks Unifying Society), a Y.A.L.P. member, and the chief editor of Many Voices, the Multicultural Education Department’s newsletter. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my activities and all of the people that I have had the opportunity to meet over the years. I love participating in so many things and Guilford allows meto do everything that I love and still be a great student.

After graduation I plan to go to grad school and get my Juris Doctorate and Masters of International Business Degrees and upon graduation from that I plan to practice international law.

I would recommend Guilford to a student who doesn't want to sacrifice their passions and a student that values close relationships with their professors. If you enjoy an atmosphere where you can share knowledge and offer your view point without judgment, where you can make friends that will last for a lifetime, where you will receive an education that will take you even further, then Guilford College is the place for you!
