From what we serve to how we clean up after a meal, we are committed to reducing our impact on our natural resources.
Guilford Dining will feature many local ingredients, as well as organics, as we make every effort to offer a fresh and popular menu every day. These selections will be clearly identified on our daily menus and in the dining room as you consider your choices.

Initiatives that have begun this summer and will be a focus this fall include:
- Partnerships with local artisans and farmers individually and through our relationship with Eastern Carolina Organics
- Composting and recycling plans of action
- Waste reduction in the kitchen and education for the dining room
- Collection of fryer oil for alternative fuel
We believe the dining room should be another classroom. Not one where you take exams, but one where you have a chance to raise your awareness about food --- how it feeds our bodies and our souls.
