Annual Funds

Loyalty Fund

The Loyalty Fund consists of unrestricted gifts to support the operating expenses. These gifts are especially valuable because the money can go where it is most needed. A large portion goes to financial aid, however, students, faculty and staff benefit from funds provided for technology, programs, professional development and more. The Loyalty Fund, the largest annual fund, supports the College’s mission of providing a transformative, liberal arts education. The Loyalty Fund helps fund the College’s highest priorities each year. They include:

  • Providing the necessary financial aid to attract a diverse, qualified student body;
  • Recruiting and retaining a strong, competitive faculty;
  • Ensuring facilities and technology that offer distinctive academic programs and activities.

This year you may designate your Loyalty Fund gift to an academic program.

Quaker Club

Gifts to the Quaker Club help build a top quality NCAA Division III program. Your tax deductible gift to the Quaker Club will be used where the College needs it most in order to meet the priorities of Guilford College Athletics. Guilford College has 18 athletic teams that compete in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), and are supported by the Quaker Club.

Your gift may be directed to one of the 18 athletic teams (please note that we ask that 50% of your gift be designated to the Quaker Club). You may also direct your gift to the weight room or the athletic training program.

Membership in the Quaker Club includes donors who make a gift in the current fiscal year from July 1-June 30. All gifts are 100% tax deductible.

Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library gifts fund special collections and projects that support student use of a full range of resources in Hege Library.

The Friends Center General Fund

The Friends Center General Fund provides support for Friends Center and its various speakers and programs. The work of Friends Center includes but is not limited to providing campus ministry to Guilford College, developing and teaching college courses in Quaker studies and spirituality, supporting the Quaker Leadership Scholars Program and offering the adult education programs of the Quaker Renewal Program and Exploring Carolina Quaker Crossroads.

Center for Continuing Education Fund

The Center for Continuing Education Fund was created in response to alumni requests to create a fund designed specifically to allow Adult Program graduates to give back to the program that enabled them to attend Guilford College. Gifts to this fund will directly provide for improved campus technology, physical plant improvements, counseling, mentoring programs and scholarships to help adult students succeed and graduate from Guilford.
